Not surprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi 3 sold out on Flipkart in two seconds. The company had last week revealed that it would be putting up to 15,000 units on sale in the third batch, while Flipkart revealed that it had racked up more than 150,000 registrations for the today’s sale.
For the third sale, Flipkart yet again tweaked the buying process by allowing users to pay for the phone immediately. Last week it let buyers reserve the phone and then pay for it later, but it could have led to a situation wherein buyers reserved the phone but didn’t pay for it later.
To recap, the Mi 3 sold out in less than 40 minutes in the first sale a couple of weeks back, and in five seconds last week.
