Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has unveiled a new Android-powered 4G LTE supporting smartphone in its Honor range of devices. The Huawei Honor 6 smartphone will be launched in China on 1 July and will reportedly come in 16GB priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 19,300) and 32GB at CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 22,200) variants. There is however no news regarding the global availability of the device.
Codenamed as 'Mulan', the Huawei Honor 6 smartphone features a 12.7-cm (5-inch) full-HD IPS display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a an octa-core Kirin 920 processor (unspecified clock speed) coupled with 3GB of RAM. It sports a 13MP rear autofocus camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. Both the variants of the device will come with expandable memory up to 64GB. The single-SIM device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box with Emotion 2.3 UI. Connectivity options include: GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. It decks in a 3000mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Huawei's mid-range offering, the Honor 3C smartphone is now up for grabs at a price of Rs 14,999 via online megastore Flipkart. Earlier the device was listed for pre-order on the website with Flipkart providing some added benefits to the pre-order customers of Huawei Honor 3C. Flipkart was giving away Rs 1,500 cashback in the form of store-credit as well as free Royal Challengers Bangalore merchandise. Huawei Honor 3C features a 12.7-cm (5-inch) 1280x720p HD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. It decks in a 2300 mAh battery and brings 8GB of on-board storage and microSD card slot. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 with Emotion 2.0 UI. Among other specifications, the phone includes dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
